Wildlands, Communities, and the Commons

In this section we will compile resources related to large scale planning of human communities within ecological communities, landscapes, and watersheds. For thousands of years people have lived in walkable communites surrounded by wild or agricultural common lands. Today this simple arrangement is almost non-existent, despite its numerous ecological and human health benefits. While earlier sections focused on specific techniques and technologies here we take a broad view at the patterns of human life and the ways it weaves into or cuts across the rest of life.  The title slides at the top outline the basic structure of the curriculum taught at SCA which this visual refference attempts to generally follow. Most images link to resources, videos, scientific papers, books, or other media. This visual library is intended to help facilitate independent research and study of these subjects.
